Depths of The Unsaid

Do you love me?

Hmm...

The earth quivers beneath me, in the rhythm of my heart beat when we talk,
The thought of seeing your sweet face, plunges my soul into heavenly paradise,
From the dreary gravyard of thoughts which exist without your radience,
For you, I stand undone at a word.

Across the many miles that separate us, all I can taste is your sweetness,
I breathe only your freshness, forget me and I die  in moments whisper,
Your touch is the sweetest kiss of forever, I shall live an eternity in its moment,
Hence my mortal hands age, bereft.

For the evening gales of serenity leave my kisses at your window cill,
In the fairy cupped dewdops, as they unfold and run to your fingertips,
Finding home, while I wait in the glare of the streaming moonlight through the shady hibiscus,
Waiting for hope...

The night passes slowly, crawling with the lingering feel of solitude,
As I lay sleepless in my bed, clueless in your splendour, breathles to your smile,
The silence deafens me, its the existence of a bond unspoken,
Because of the desire to keep my heart unbroken.

Yet, it has already been broken, yes, three times over,
My heart was broken first at your smile, then again at your voice,
Then upon the realisation that there is one that I miss by my side,
One that I never had, but miss as though I did.

For without you, even my shadow haunts me, and my pen mocks me daily,
For what good is a shadow, that can't bring me your love,
It is even a dead man's company, and a pen which can't inscribe your splendour,
Is mute.

Nor can my desire be accounted for on paper, many times have i fallen silent to you,
Because the unspoken drowns me out, don't you hear it...
How long must I wait to breathe again...to feel again...to live again...
For a heart less man cannot live;

So I won't, till you return it to me.

I have no answer, except what I feel.

If at first you don't succeed destroy all the evidence that you tried.

How well you have expressed these difficult and deep emotions.  But we each have to express to each other these depths, for change to be accomplished. Muster your courage poet...and conquer the fear. TD

Truly piercing and tender.  I am transfixed by the emotional power of your words here.  Gabriel, I am brand new here and had no idea the wealth of gifts you and your PiP family share.
