they are 50's relics
on heads of the future,
grey metal cirlces
filled with saturday faces,

they are seats of girlchatter
first love thru marraige shattered,
they wear decades of womanhood
with piled up hairspray and boobjobs,

they hold secrets of sisterhood,
and still clinging vanity,
i sit there a barbiedoll,
bleached out and brainless,
filled up with kafka, as i sit seeking buddha,

i rewind to my first time
thick in a beehive,
a l4 years old's promdance,
now nearing 50 (i know, couldnt be me, right

i'd love to go unpainted,
blank as a canvas,
bald as an babys butt,
but  what sugardaddy would want me?

maybe i'll  just lose it,
but for now i want pretty,
one day i will free her,
but not before, the first facelift

you are delusional . . .

but I do know how you feel
It's usually the days of no makeup ,
hair undone that you happen to see
someone looking right at you and think,
"Oh God - this isnt really me, I swear!"

In my humble opinion, you are beautiful
as you are Michele, as are your words

i'd love to go unpainted,
blank as a canvas,

ahh the joys.
Enjoyed this very much and especially love the lines above.

Lady, this is wonderful.  I was going to quote...but I would have to quote so much of this treasure.

Wonderfully honest look at myself in your words!

"bald as an babys butt"

Surely NOT ... you would not wish to be bald, would you?  Hahhaha!

And I am right there with you girl friend, in line for the face lift ... to come in the not so distant future. (sounds like we are close in age ... *wink*)

Vain ... Nanhhhhhhhh just trying to stay sane ... right?
