I sat outside
for the first time in ages
immersing myself
for a moment
in the promise of the sun
and the sheer beauty
of it all

I could speak of
of trees gently
swaying in the breeze
of the shadow play
of light through leaves
Or blue skies and grass
birds and flowers
scents and sounds

But it was the underlying
beauty that caught my eye

Dandelions drifting
though the air ensuring
another generation
Bees hovering
from flower to flower
pollination at work

I marvelled at the
magnificence and intricacy
of this machine
until the sound of traffic
and the blare of radios
drowned out the singing of birds
and I wondered
in the scheme of things
are humans cogs or a wrenches?

good question, Raph, I think we're both....we have to be part of it all, but we do a lot of undoing...

wheres your pic gone? lol..i have a theory!

I think, for the most part we're wrenches, even when we're trying to un do the bad, we mess up doing it the wrong way, for the wrong reasons, which we initally thought were the right reasons. etc (still with me?) lol Then again, we are nature, if we immerse ourselves into it, we learn how to become a part of the better things. we've all got a lot to learn, as humans, we've got a long way to go. i long to be a leaf or something. lol

cogs, i'd say the society around us is one big farce of a cog.

bah humbug.

but lets be hopeful, and dream the dream of everyone being as sweet and loving as some of the poets who write on here. who are our cogs i suppose.

i've done ranting.

someone strap me to a bed, before i bite my own head off.

muchos love,

Raph - I thought I knew everything
about Noahs Ark . . .

and I thought of cogs as in
little parts of a larger
machinery
minute parts
miniscule
itsy bitsy
moot

Ok I'm going

c'mon Raphie, don't let the angel sit in the dark all alone
