Each breath I breath, each beat I feel,
each thought that congeals, each
pondering thought for I am human.

Mortal skin and flesh, sinew and bone,
tears and smiles,Trial and tribulations
that quake.. I am scared.

Lost in a wilderness of dark shadows,
of howling winds and glowing eyes.
Huddled against the blizzard of life
that awaits me, I am cold...I shiver.

Alone on this rock strewn path of
fear and anxiety.Grasping each
crack upon the face of stark reality,
tired, weary hands clinging to the face
of freedom’s cliff as the rubble of
condemnation falls upon the stooped
shoulders of mortality...I am here,
here above the soft cushion of floating
clouds of peace, awaiting the storm to
whip against the being of who I am...

For I am naked to the world’s will,
awaiting the darkness of destiny’s
doom as a grey cloud approaches
where I am....alone....

Barry,

and you mold it to your own
Every single line resonated
within my own soul
as I read
*shaking head*
you amaze me

We are all truly alone here on this spinning rock and you have built a long and eternally strong friendship chain...which I hope you know will remain dependable should the storm shake your feet from the ledge.
Powerful write, from a most amazing human.
All prayers,
TD

Alone?  No...
sometimes
it only feels that
way.

It's good to see you here...
it's a hope,
a prayer...

a breath.

Your writing not only reminds me of Sir  Poe, but I think you ARE Poe--Edgar, you're back! So long, I have waited!

Loving hugs,

Alone...I have felt alone from time to time, Barry...and I have been scared to be alone.  But I assure you, you are not.  Your words connect you with others...and your words have dissolved my feelings of loneliness on many occasions...particularly on those late Saturday nights.  I am sure you have also connected with the poets' words here. It is in the knowing that we are all a part of the human experience...that makes me feel that I am never really alone.

OK, does that make sense?

I loved the writing, Bud! I have to tell you again...I really missed you!

Barry, dear man...this fear, this hurt, it is your strength.  It lets you see where you are, and that knowledge is a blessing.  I wish you peace on the other side of your climb.
