Mire and Muck I shall toss a coin in final plea As I find no daisy to pluck In crystal’s clouds, I can not see So, I’m held between mire and muck Perhaps I’ll pick a card, any card And play upon draw of my luck But then which card shall I discard Still I’m left between mire and muck Consults with tellers, scopes, and such Have left not a chord to be struck With no fortune told in his touch Still I’m fixed between mire and muck Gold coin now falls within my hand But it upon the shelf I tuck With hopes that grains of hourglass sand Will free me from this mire and muck |

Patricia - enjoyed this write of mire and muck. At times still I feel as if I'm there, but have been slowly climbing out of the mire and muckyness... BC |

I like the way you tie this together, the rhyme scheme and the imagery each making an envelope to hold it.... and the fact that you've written a feeling I have every day, until I'm too numb to write it myself. Like that very much.... ~~(¸¸¸¸ºº> ~~(¸¸¸¸ºº> ~~(¸¸ ¸¸ºº> ~~~(¸¸ER¸¸ºº> |

I like this very much, Patricia... methinks we all know this limbo where there's no place to go. *S* |

Patricia~ Interesting rhyme scheme and subject~ Rhyming flows easiest for me and I enjoy reading when it flows for others~ *Huglets* ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ |

Scoot over......you're not alone, you know!! I've got on my hip-waders, but I'm still sinking in. Great write, and just how I feel, too...~V~ I speak from the Voice Of Experience |
