Disgust
~~~
.
.
.
Heavy step bare foot
Upon thick nail of rust
That is what it's like
When I feel disgust.
Spew forth lies in smile
Throw hateful fits of rage
While I grow more repulsed
At your sorrow evil staged
Fool me again with sober kisses
Words of love drip honey thick
Hiss of snake takes it all back
Upheaval strikes and I am sick.
Photos embedded in my brain
Limbs - entangled - positions - lust
Grit my teeth and tears back blink
It's what I do when I feel disgust.
I think you look good
sitting outside,
on the box...
I think we need to expand into these
even more...nothing like stretching a wing
or two, and giving our muses something to muse
about us, don't you agree?
Excellent, Chris...
simply excellent!
Wind and Karilea - thankyou both. It took alot out of me writing this way. I had to bring forth past wounds and feel "disgusted" all over again. But, it makes me also feel good about now and the future.
Chris, I applaud you . . .
God Woman . . . I really hated to
give you Disgust, but I have never
seen you write this and you have met the challenge - tossed it aside with a shrug.
Sorry you had to go back there
but this is one amazing write.
Thank you
Chris, I know how you felt writing this.
It's hard to look at these things, isn't
it? You did a very good job with the challenge, though.
Chris? I mean this as high praise--you just disgusted me!
chuckle?
This?
"Spew forth lies in smile
ooooooooooooooooooooo...narrowed my eyes when I read that.
You met this challenge and kicked its butt.
Love you lady!
Gosh, thankyou all so much. I didn't expect this to get much attention.
Sue - don't you worry...it felt good to be able to write about it, then take a deep breath and smile!! Thanks for the challenge.
Karen - well....ya....you know.
Great gargoyles! THAT was amazing. Absolutely amazing. I lack the vocabulary to write a decent happy poem, but you have just proved your versatility. Even when you don't use it, it's a wonderful talent to have available to you.
