In many ways
does it come
pour for days
or simply done.

Lightly it tiptoes
on catlike feet
in the darkness
where two lovers meet.

Storms may come
and storms may go
and when they're done
it's time to mow!

Bursts of rain
or lightly sprinkle
the heavy drops hang
with sparkling twinkle.

Summer, winter
spring or fall.
Each and every season
rain comes in all.

So enjoy your mornings,
and enjoy your eves,
when the rain comes pouring
through the trees.

I just got back from a baseball game and I look like a drowned mouse! It poured and the umpire wouldn't call the game! Oh, well, that was okeydokey with me because I love the rain--and your poem about it!

P.S. And our team won by a rain slide!--I mean, land slide!
