Arising from the depths unknown to even me
unwanted memories dance frenzied in my brain
and encourage the maestro to play and play again
all the music needed till finally I’m free.

Back and forth, back and forth, no rest in the wings
or change of scene to regroup inbuilt properties.
Unfocused, disarrayed, in life’s complexities
I wonder if we all have lost the will to sing.

Only me perhaps on an island in the sea
my daily sustenance the pretence of sanity
and a perfect pirouette the display of harmony
with the place I’m at and not where I should be.

Whose footprints mar the beach of my capitulation
to the raging sea that would claim the all of me?
Who can see the truth of a human such as me
and still walk with me beyond condemnation?

Only me perhaps on an island in the sea,
the maker and creator of how I had to be!

Oh, it just have to be the red wine I've developed a liking for. Thank you so much for your warm response. One day perhaps I'll learn to swim!
