I am a poet hidden behind the jester I wonder if I’ve lived before I hear the sound of a heart hurting I see colors of a person’s soul instead of colors of a person’s skin I want to be able to write whenever I want I am a poet hidden behind the jester I pretend that hurtful words don’t hurt me I feel as though I am an alien in this world I touch God’s sigh in the wind I worry that humanity will self-destruct I cry because people are so cruel sometimes I am a poet hidden behind the jester I understand that it is my fate to be this way I say everything in life happens for a reason, there is a plan I dream of a world where we are all brothers and sisters I try to be kind to everyone, to even the meanest spirit I hope I am worthy enough to go to heaven I am a poet hidden behind the jester |

It sounds to me that you know who you are! I, too, am a jester as I like to make people laugh...nothing wrong with that. But when you are alone with your pen...you know what you want, who you are, and what you hope. And that is cool! Love this one! Patricia |
