There’s been showers of blessings in my life,
Bringing joy I never dreamed of;
The river of my heart is running full
With the bliss of friendship and love.

You, my friend, have been one of the rain clouds
That has poured blessings upon me—
So I want to thank you for all you’ve done:
If rain has brought me so much joy,
May you experience the sea!

Ben...that's sweet. But please - rain only where needed - and some dry where the floods have been! We can't have our passionate members swimming!

I love the thought of rainclouds bringing happiness and love. people usually use rainclouds the other way around, like bringing unhappiness.

so thanks for turning it around..cos rain is beautiful..and so it seems is your friend.

Very nice poem,
But you might like to expand it,
Perhaps to the size of a sonnet
At least get the stanzas the same size
by adding another line to the first.

and thank God for those showers of blessings...just enough sometimes to bring us out in the warmth...and thank you for sharing yours with us...keeping us positive and on the look out for the next shower to endow us...smiles and hugs.

Yes, we've had a bit too much rain here. There can be too much of a good thing

I will consider adding another line to the first stanza. I don't want to climb in a box, though. I have added an extra line in the last stanza to other poems before--you might call it my own special twist to the plain old four stanza poem.
