An Amazing Woman

I am an amazing woman
in my life of romance
through the many days of my life
giving and taking love

Men have been attracted to me
chasing me with strong wills
wishing to capture my essence
to experience me

Wanting to keep me as their own
to share lustful desires
they declare their undying love
to accomplish my trust

Then lies and deceptions begin
causing many heart aches
with tears of confusion flowing
making it all just end

Even years later a few say
"I never forgot you"
somehow I continue to haunt
their fantasies and dreams

So why does this even happen
where does it all go wrong
do I have an eternal flaw
am I unlovable

I clearly refuse that premise
No, the fact is only
an amazing man can handle
an amazing woman

these cyberfrogs are clueless of how to please a woman off of a computer screen. not to mention they couldnt handle more than a round or two with me, most anyhow couldnt. bring back the real men, ive had it with screensavers

This could be the story of a woman or a man...
I was trying to determine how a woman could find a good man and had these thoughts.
I'm sure all men would like to convince a woman that they are amazing but in the end the success or failure of a relationship will be determined by seeking longterm friendships and slowly making wise choices before moving past a friendship. James

I love the entire feel of this poem, Janette, but I have to agree with JamesMichael about how friendships grow, and it all takes time. There are amazing men out there, too, but they don't wear signs, so we have to just be open to possibilities.

How true, How true! I've haunted men too. I get "you deserve someone better then me." or "This is so good, I wonder when it's going to end." and so due to there fear, it ends. I like being an amazing women . . . the good, the bad, the indifferent; the ALL of it! Love & hugs
