Some may call it settling.

It's not so bad to settle for the one who lifts you onto a pedestal.

It's not so bad trying to forget him.

I would answer no...
But then, I would lie awake tonight knowing that I wasn't honest.

A person could ask, "Is it okay to pretend, just to keep from being alone?"
In the end, maybe you invite pain into your heart, because you realize that you missed other opportunities. And then, you've cheated this other person their chance of REALLY being loved.

But hey...that's just how I feel...
