Please please would you say that again I’m sorry I didn’t hear you I was lost in the sight as you spoke lips that quicken in excitement biting air to cover me in words telling eyes dancing a story all its own a stretch from the skins of pain you never speak of but I see deep within you unconsciously tracing places that once wore kisses a smile that can peel revealing things unnoticed how is it I missed it before forgive me say it again this time I didn’t listen as I was watching you as you spoke "I am living a life, i have no wish to live. Dang, Helen, I can relate to this one, having been mersmerized by the eyes and lips of someone whose very being captivated me so much he could have been reading the telephone directory and I wouldn't have known...or cared. |

Some thoughts "burn" so cleanly that the actual words can not be recalled. Your poetry sometimes does this to me. |
