~*~ Cucumber sandwiches, Scones with clotted cream, Cakes, tarts and petits fours, Are pastry lover's dream. Blueberry muffins, Baked fresh each day, Mini jars of jam preserves, Displayed on wicker tray. Napkins and tablecloth, Of Nottingham lace, And fine bone china Set at every place. A silver-plated teapot, With a cozy snug on top, Which keeps the flavor in, And the tea steaming hot. There are black teas, green teas, Herbals, fruits and spice. There are cookies, pastries, And dainties made from rice. Flowers grace the table, It's set by loving heart. Good thing it's lunch time round' here.... My seven year old daughter attended a Tea Party with the "Red Hat Society" here in our town back in the summer. We dressed her in a pink frilly dress, a hat, a little purse and an umbrella. She was breathtaking and at that moment I remembered just how fun it was to sit and drink tea, and eat little powedered donuts. She told me after it was over that she wasn't crazy about the tea...but she loved the dress up part, and all the neat jewelry! Great write Earth Angel. Tima C.
