Oh how I wish that I could be
Resilient like Wile E. Coyote
Anvils falling down on my head
There’d be no need to hide in bed

Off a cliff at top speed?
No safety net would I need.
Jet powered shoes on my feet
Pillows that softly cushion my seat

I’d be brave and always try
You’d never see me whine or cry
The one drawback that I see
My rhymes would be mailed from Acme!

Beep Beep!

I used to LOVE that cartoon, Sharon...was one
of my favorites when I was growing up.  Used
to watch it on Wallace & Ladmo. (I love that
I can mention that show and you know what I'm
talking about..LOL)

I really enjoyed this, Sharon, and yes..wouldn't it be nice.

Sharon, this is a really cute write. I
especially like this part....

Off a cliff at top speed?
No safety net would I need.
Jet powered shoes on my feet
Pillows that softly cushion my seat

Delightful read Ms. DeVine...
I don't get to reply as much as I would like, but noted a real alive and well muse these days.  Thanks. TD

My question is if the coyote had enough money to order all that stuff from ACME why in the hell didn't he just order take-out? I mean before the bird even enters the picture we see him sitting by the road trying to eat a can. And as for the bird surely he could've saved some of that ACME money and hired some commandos/bountyhunters to get him if he wanted him badly enough. Truth is, I only ever watched the roadrunner for one reason, secretely i always hoped he'd catch and mangle that annoying bird. Ok i'm done..sigh

I always hated the Road Runner...I thought him too cocky. Just once, would I love to see Ol' Wile E. just grab him and eat him.

I think if memory serves me, that there was a rare possibly final episode late 70s or early 80s where the coyote did catch the roadrunner but looked into the camera(kids) and let him go. I remember walking away from the tv in disgust
