Luminous blue of dragonfly and rusted copper of butterflies, welcome the morning.

Shimmering grasses are silent witnesses to the call of birdsong.

Scent of wild air, of nettles,of funghi, breeze of summer rushes it to my senses.

Dark, overhanging nooks and crannies of a coppice, twisted and knarled limbed trees, clothed in emerald moss.

Swallows sliceing, scissoring the air with sudden shock of blue light.

Dead stoat by the toepath, killed by mans steel, already decaying, jaw gaping with bone white teeth.

Horizon split bt shimmering green grassland and blue, white cloud sky.
Reed buntings on rushes sway back, and back and back again,in the freshening wind.

Free i feel and free i am,free as a bee, love creeps into my thaughts before i am back in my wild freedom.

Purple, yellow, white, pink and blue wildflowers surround me on either side as i walk.
Silky smooth bark of the silver birch, like living marble.

Grey and white clouds pass overhead, slowly, while boomerang swifts master the air easily.

But love steels back into my mind, holding it inside me, i am happy.

Now that is what I'd call descriptive writing at its best! The dead stoat actually added to the realistic portrayal of nature's way--Life & death, beautiful and the not so beautiful...

Your pen is a veritable paintbrush!

Lovin' hugs,
