Daisy Mae...
What is that in your voice I hear?
I just can't tell, it's not quite clear.
There you are weaving in, and out of my feet.
Playing to a kitty cat beat, so sweet.

Sleep all day, play all night.
Fuzzy little one, heart so light.
Sleep from dawn till dusk.
Now up and hungry, making a fuss.

Meowing at the door, well can’t you see me!?
Come on now feed me, feed me, lady!
Step to it, and I may just ask for more.
See I know it’s me you adore.

My tummy is full now, I think I’ll take nap
But first I’m off for my bath.
Ah, much better can I borrow your lap
I off to dreamy land down my sleepy path

I gave you a thrill circling ‘round your feet.
And played to my kitty cat beat, so sweet.
I let you feed me, and thrilled you, yes it’s true.
Now i'm in your comfy lap...
If you could be me what would you do?

Of sound, and speech let all lift the hearer!

Oh, so very sweet. Kittys are so cute, but then they grow up to be cats, and become arrogant. Enjoyed reading about your kitty!

Thanks Marge...when I get there I'll give a bird call...hehehehe you'll know it's me. Secret code...You know like when we were all kids...that little whistle, or a bird call or something to let your friend know you are nearby....hahahahaha Silly me. I got a giggle out of this comment. I'll check out the workshop. God knows I need one.

SharaRose:I enjoyed this. The playfulness and ease with which you write brought a smile to my face.I haven't had a kitten in ages and you've reminded me of the joy they bring.Thanks.

Thanks Angelblueeyes. She's a trip sometimes, but then aren't all cats a little trippy in a way!? They are so independant, and do things you aren't going to expect..which really is the beauty of it! hehehe

This poem reminds me in so many ways of my own kitty cat! You have captured their nature exactly! They can be so finiky but turn around and be so loving, complicated but wonderful creatures!

Hi Intotheflames, and EarthAngel..thanks for the comments. She is a delight. Just precious! I wish I knew how to find the icons all of you use. Like the smiley with the balloons, and things like that. *sigh* oh well I don't know how to find them soooo I will stick with the big grin, or smiley.

Hugs to all,

Hi Shara,
I found it!! And, I was not disappointed at all.  LOL
This is a delight, Lady. I hope that you realize
you are fitting right in here with the rest of us.
I love cats and dogs, too. I've written a few
about my little Scooter dog. He's my other "Baby".

Thanks garysgirl, that is so sweet to welcome me. I love all the talent that's here. I have been here for a little bit. A few days, and I have been sooooooo delighted with all I read. I LOVE IT!!!!!!!! I just wish one thing. I wish I knew how to do the little smileys with the hearts, and the one that waves...just any of them! I wish someone would helpppppp! pleaseeee.

Thanks Littlewing--Yeppers, we had to keep Daisy outside when Pip Squeaks cage was open. They took turns. When daisy was in she always watched Pip squeak, and I knew what she was thinkin.' Sylvester and Tweety came to mind. Alot of the time though Pip squeak had the rule of the roost..hehehe
