There's a dragon in the sky,
its head is made of clouds,
there's moonlight in its mane,
all I am allowed
to do,
is to dream
not to touch,
to want
not to ride,
for it isn't really there at all.

On a sheet of shadowed paper
in a wooden frame askew,
the muted colored truth
doesn't show the glow of you,
the sunlight in your hair;
the smile doesn't touch
the shadows
aren't warm,
you're not here.

Heart touching with a sadness that hurts to read.  You convey emotion so well, icebox.

IceBox~
Very poignant write, indeed~

Last evening, as I stood watching the moon-in-full ... I swear to you I saw -

'There's a dragon in the sky,
its head is made of clouds,
there's moonlight in its mane,

I could only think of the Oriental meaning of an eclipsing time of the moon when their belief is that the dragon is eating the moon~

Couldn't believe my eyes when I read your post~

My, my !  Thank you~

This is so beautiful.  I can't really find the words to describe how this piece made me feel. For what it's worth, I love it.

Some things are just too good to be true!  *sigh*

You convey so much through your writing icebox.   Much enjoyed!

Ice,

Oh, so sad.  You have spoke of her before I believe.  I am sorry, but thank you for sharing her memory with us.

Martie ~ I think sometimes I should learn to write of joy.  Thank you for taking time to read and to comment.

Marge Tindal ~ *smile* Why would I not believe you?  Thank you for telling me, I like to know where he wanders.

Kaoru ~ You just did describe your feelings *grin* thank you!

BluesSerenade ~ I am glad you like this poem.  I do value your opinion.

Patricia ~ You are correct; not all memories live in linear time.  Thank you for your insight.

Saunni ~ Your comment is a kindness.  Thank you.
