The young fighter steps into the ring, In his stance he keeps wondering; Who will he face when it's his time to fight? Who must he beat now to prove his might? As he looks outside the ring, All the fans gather cheering. Two in particular catch his eye, The two who'd never say "goodbye". Both have waited for this day, When they'd see him clear the way. Both knew it'd come to this, Fight or flee, feet or fists. The other enters the ring with a chill, His cold heart full of evil will. The hero seems to have no fear; He knows the ones he loves are near. Slowly taking a defensive stance, He prepares for this deadly dance; The enemy charges, having no heart; He'd never last in the martial arts. A single punch to topple this tree, But everyone watches the referee! He steps forth dressed in black, Waiting for the final attack. As the enemy tries to stand, Again he's struck with the palm of a hand. He tries to get up, moving quick, Only to fall with a kick. Now he tries to come out on top, But his neck takes a karate chop; The larger fighter hits the ground, People boo and cheer all around. The referee reveals a power so dark, Fear of it always leaves a deep mark. As he steals the loser's soul, It's obvious now he's in control. But with just one more fight in the way, The young champion may just save the day. What is life without poetry and adventure? |
