The First Cut is the Deepest

Slash, right down to the bone.
Bleeding out the marrow through the wounded
soul.

You laugh as you cut me once again, not even
thinking it's going to hurt me more toward the
end.

The first cut is always the deepest, a token
scar sealed with a deadly kiss. So sad your
blind and believe nothing is amiss.

So I bleed right where I stand, desperately
trying to bind up my wounds with my hands.

Reminding myself those first cuts are always
the deepest and in the future to avoid them when
I can.
this one is dedicated to my ball and chain
thanks for such bliss!
