This is what happens when you have too many sleepless nights reading Orlando by Virginia Woolf and maybe have a bit of a drink. Like to hear what you make of it.

What is it you seek?

Asked the doctor

upon my arrival in town.

I seek what I cannot see,

was my answer

I seek the true and the false.

The setting sun

which I continue to walk towards.

Why do you seek

such impossible things?

He tried to tell me,

why seek for truth

when you can find illusion?

Why find the burning sun

when you can have the cool silver moon?

~~~

Blast the moon!

I want to stretch for the unreachable,

search for the unfindable.

I seek that which will boil my blood,

and that which will break my heart.

I want the perfect ending

and the painful middle

~~~

Why seek such discomforts

when the bed is soft

the home is warm?

~~~

But I want to gain warmth

from groaning earthquakes,

as the earth bucks and shakes,

the eruption of a sighing volcano,

~~~

Good sir,

you do not even seem to know

what you seek.

You seem to seek contradictions,

touch what should not be touched,

as you grope in the dark

~~~

Of course,

but more than that.

I seek the tears of the skies,

the painful memories

temporary forgetfulness

and selective hearing.

I want the painful ending

And the perfect middle

~~~

So what do you seek?
