like driftwood you floated into
my life during a storm

like the sun you rise and set
with beauty
and like a moon at nite your
glow brightens the darkness

you bring me tears of joyous
memories that are warm like
a summer drizzle

a distant thunder is my heart
pounding flashes in the sky
are my eyes electrifying

whispers from you are a soft
morning breeze drying each
drop of dew

flowers open with smiling ~
faces to greet me each day

a lone bird tweets to it's mate
as it flutters away

let us shelter each from storms
and never drift away
~

A voice of honesty
   is treasured
more than voices
   of flattery
