Do not walk the moor near 'courting wall corner',
for the woman in black walks there.

The anguished soul of her mourning, murdered by one of two lovers, lost forever, shaking her jet hair.

Elope with one lover, but tell not the other and live forever together.

But cut down in your prime,by your jilted lover and buried on the bare moor under the heather.

Now you hurt and haunt Middleham Moor, your soul full of anguish.
A dark spectral shape seen by many in soft mist,
before into thin air...you vanish..!

(based on a true story and published in an anthology of similar poetry.)(Goldenrose.)

A dark yet brilliant picture was painted through your words.  I really enjoyed this.

Take care......Sue

I do prefer the love poetry,( we can't write about love all the time can we)lol! but a good ghost story is needed from time to time to shake life up a bit!

very creative! I am scared!oooh..someone please comfort me...too scary!!!
