could your beauty be measured
like distance and time
I cannot conceive it to be so
for such beauty could never be
for if your radiance
were measured in distance
then you could touch
the furthest reaches
or if your beauty were time
like the hours of the day
eons would pass and still
not glimpse even a fraction
of what I see before me
those eyes, full of life and love
piercing my heart and soul
all the sadness fading away
feeling only your presence
your smile, so sweet and pure
feeling myself melt inside
your touch so gentle, so soft
like the rains in spring
becoming lost in your soul
through those enchanting eyes
unable to move, unable to breathe
such beauty unsurpassed
my heart hammering as if for dear life
feeling myself draw closer
my eyes closing slowly
so close now, my last vision
of your eyes, your loving smile
your gentle touch
lost in your beauty
please let me stay
