Love Will Keep Us Together

Toni Tenille sang a song
saying that love would
keep us together.
Now that we're apart
and I have a broken
heart what song would
she sing now?
Slowly but surely
one comes to mind.
"The End of The World"
and preferably if Skeeter
Davis would sing this one
that would be just fine.
"Why do the stars go one shining.
Why does the moon shine above.
Don't they know it's the end of the world.
It ended, when I lost your love."

James, it sounds as tho' you need a comforting hug right about now!

There, did that help at least a teeny weeny bit?

Clever how you wove lines from those songs into your poem. Very effective. I'm trying to think of a song for you, but my mind is blank!

I like to sing "End of the World" when I sing karaoke...its a song that I've always been able to connect with...James
