Thunderous echoing, rolling from within
The depths of my soul cry out in pain
Darkness and confusion embrace me
Wrap their arms around myself
Embracing me with their treacherous words
Brainwashing me with deceit and lies
And it’s starting to take its toll on me
Fear fills my thoughts
Doubts of what will happen
Horrible images of loneliness
Of loosing it all
Lies…
A whisper from within
Confusion of what’s going on
Lost in the world passing me by
I’m unsure of what to do
I rip myself apart every night
Thinking of what’s going on
Trying to piece together the web of deceit
And what it means
Remember…
The whisper again, a shape in the inky shadows
Piercing the overwhelming velvet background
Another flash and another as the gems multiply
Soon the night is lit with thousands of crystal shards
There we are together, as the memory replays again
I’m absorbed in my own memory, reliving the moment again
And as it fades, dissolving back to the ebony veil
I can’t help but wonder what it meant to you
And as I think, the doubt and confusion resume their attack
My world is tossed and spun
And in turn my soul is wounded
My heart is stunned
And my mind is skittish
I’m lost, so utterly lost
And I have no one to turn to
Because the only one I can confide in
Is you
But just being there with you
It starts that voice again
And I can’t bear to think
To doubt or worry
Not now
You need time too
Since you’re just as lost as me
And together we’re lost in this web of shadows
But I know you’re there when I need you
And you know I’m here for you
That’s what really matters
That we’ll be here for each other
And find the path out of the shadows
Together
