It’s hard for me to see sometimes Through this mist of anger And if I try to push it away I know it’ll just grow strong Built by years of heart ache And tears cried time and time Again So I force myself to wonder Why one more time I long to leave it all And runaway and hide No one needs me here For all they know I’ve died I am a worthless heap of flesh But still I have the since to know That what I live with just isn’t Right for me So I think God for my window My twenty-four hour escape route I throw some things into a bag And throw away my doubts I reach for the window, take Out the fan, push out the screen And jump into freedom Never to be seen again. ~*Summer*~ |

Life is a process and a constant challenge for sure. Keep that window open....there is always more to see than meets the eye. Your poem is hardly worthless, and I enjoyed reading it. Don't ever deal yourself out!!! |
