Step Up Other-Pops ~*Marge Tindal*~  You always left the porch light on When I was out on a date “Turn off the light, Margie, when you get in.” “Have a good time, now don’t be late.” Took me eons to figure out just how you always knew That I’d missed the deadline if only by a minute or two Rigged the light switch you did to stop the tick n’ tock “Turn off the light, Margie …” ALSO turned OFF THE CLOCK !! The greatest ‘Other dad’ a teenaged girl could want Did I ever thank you for being the mending tape that held so many lives together ? Well … If I didn’t say it before I sure want you to know I appreciate you, 'Other Dad' … And I love you so~ For my special ‘Other Dad’ Hank Embach Happy Father's Day June 2003 ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ |

I love this picture. The background is amazing. I'm assuming it is a picture you took? Also..I read your "garden" poems, and am wondering if you have any Wisteria hidden in the midst of it all. Also...a great tribute. I have an Other Dad, although I suppose I would call him my Stepfather. You could hurt me with your bare hands. You could hurt me using the sharp edge of what you say. JEWEL |

I'm glad to see this one come round again~ That's my POPS~ Just this past September we had a HUGE gathering where we celebrated his 80th birthday ... he's danged near as spry as ever~ I got to tell this story in my birthday presentation to POPS~ The crowd of friends and relatives roared ! Dad did his best to not crack up that I would remember this one ! *Huglets*  ~*Marge*~ ~*The sound of a kiss is not as strong as that of a cannon, but it's echo endures much longer*~ |
