Step up to the plate
And just take your base
You can smell the apple pie from home
The comforts of that place
Are lost forever
And now you are all alone

Decide your own fate?
You are so foolish
You will understand when you are grown
You are just one small part
You're lost forever
And you'll always be alone

Now don't get irate
You are just helpless
You need to learn just how to hang tight
Keep close watch on your heart
Pay no attention
To what is wrong or whats right

And don't you be late
For your own demise
It is very tempting to postpone
All you ever will be
And all that you are
Is utterly all alone

I can write you poetry that'll make a strong man lose his mind:
I ain't no pig
Without a wig
I hope you treat me kind

you are never alone
not even when you choose to be

someone is always standing there
on home plate
waiting to catch the ball
and throw it back to you

I enjoyed the write.
