Plum Petals Falling |

Blossoms falling: Shook by wind They salt The spring air rose. Almost white, Confetti thrown, Dropping from tree top height. * Drifting, blowing Warm air lifting; Soft as late snowflakes They pass Before my eyes To nestle, Melting, swiftly Hiding in the grass. * A Bunting lights the highest branch, Petal showers fall below. A tuft of down escapes its breast, (Aloft in breeze, it joins the flakes) Blends rose and white, with indigo. * end |
