I prayed for help I prayed for love I prayed to be made well I prayed for everything That I needed help with I kept on praying But no quick answer came But no matter I knew one day it would Come my way So one day as I was driving Out of no where came a stupid Drunk driver He side swiped my car And it ended up in a river I tried to get out But the water kept me trapped I prayed to God aloud And prayed that I may live My car is now full of water I am starting to drown I see a bright light And angels all around One sticks out her had And says "Come with me." I grabbed her hand And then I knew I must Be dead But now I am in heaven I am an angel just like her I watch out for people And help them when they Are hurt What I feel bad about now Are how many people who are killed By drunk drivers I know their pain as they die Because I was once in their shoes Cold hands means a warm heart |

How true... never drink and drive. Root beer is a different thing though. LOL! I'll never drive drunk because I don't drink alcohol - definitely a smart way to go. What is life without poetry and adventure? |
