It was the Wheel of Fortune, with Vanna and Pat
Spinning for dollars, and praying that;
It would stop on big money-pick the right letter
Solve the damn puzzle, the sooner the better.

Balladeer was hoping-for a quick victory,
He'd eaten his Wheaties, he should win this with ease,
He'd spun the big wheel, when it stopped he howled,
He'd hit the big money, said "I'll buy a vowel"
He said give me an "N"-that's my choice,
Pat tried not laugh-said in a low voice;
"Balladeer ya see, there's no vowel that's an "N"
I'll give ya a break, try once again."

Balladeer seemed puzzled, a little confused,
And a little embarrassed of the letter he'd used.
So he tried again, this time an "A"
Vanna turned over one box, in her usual way.

Pat said, "Balladeer, do you want to guess?
Balladeer with composure..simply said yes.
Being careful not to stutter, amongst all the laughter,
Blared out; "It's 'Toerag' by God...he is my
master!"

LOL.. Toe... poor 'Deer seems a bit out of his element there with Vanna... but at least he understood who was the master....

Bal can't help it... the mere sight of a real woman made him forget his own name... so of course he got confused on his consonants. LOL

I see the playground is still open and the recess bell hasn't rung... and you're giving out grins. *S* Well done! *S*

Oh Toe...please look out for that sweet Balladeer. Poor thing.  How embarrassing for him. We all care so much. But I think his rugged good looks probably stole the show.

Ohhh, yeah, Toe - This is excellent.  One of the finest examples of poetry I've ever read.  Much better than Balladeer's efforts, I'm sure.  *heh, that oughta stir up some real trouble*

Yanno, Toerag, out of respect for you I have always kept this quiet but I guess that doesn't matter now since you have brought it up. After the show, Vanna took me over to the side and told me what happened when you made your appearance on Wheel of Fortune. She told me how you made it to the final round and, when the letters were turned over they spelled out..
.
T _ _ O _ R _ G
.
You screamed out "TOERAG"! Pat tried to explain that there were too many letters for Toerag but you kept screaming "TOERAG! TOERAG! TOERAG!" You rushed the board and tried to tear off the additional letters and throw them away. Security guards tried to stop you but you punched them in the face and ripped Vanna's dress when she screamed. Police finally drug you away as you muttered "Toerag...it's Toerag" all the way to the paddy wagon. Sajak told the producers later never to use the word THROWRUG as the final puzzle again!

Sorry, pal. You forced my hand

If Vanna asked me for a vowel it would have been 'O'

but hey --that's just me

Toe,
Good thing 'deer has spell checker at home!

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.
