in the shadows

An age of understanding,
passing through
those understanding,
travels shorter time
than blood flows
arm to heart,
and like blood to the heart
thoughts flow slowly
to the point of change,
then rushing on their new found course,
without the knowledge cast,
they can leave the understanding
standing
lost.

These lines "and like blood to the heart

and therein lies our thoughts to ponder.
