On July 3, 2003

tomorrow
we’ll slip on our red, white and blue
we’ll wave it from door posts
and flag poles, too

we’ll smile our freedom
for all viewers to see
and thank those who gave
to protect you and me

some will be arrogant
saying we are the best
but we’re what we make us
when facing the test

the test of how
we persevere the fight
in keeping and molding
humanity’s plight

the way we remember
to thank God above
for giving us power
to preserve and to love

god didnt give us power to do anything

i think we all just got lucky that we have this great unbeatable military and all of this wealth.. we should be proud.. indeed.
