Dedicated to those who love me
enough to bring me back to light and love

If I didn’t have your heart near me
If we weren’t connected spiritually
If the world wasn’t lit by your light
If I was caught in eternal night
I would hide myself far away
I wouldn’t welcome each new day
I’d be bereft of my heart and soul
Because you, make me truly whole

If I didn’t have the sense to see
All the gifts you’ve given to me
If I couldn’t touch the warmth of you
My soul would be pieced with ice all through
I wouldn’t know where I should be
There’s be no sense or clarity
I wouldn’t know where to find
The solace you spread through my mind

If I didn’t have the touch of you
I wouldn’t know what is really true
If the words I heard didn’t move me
If I couldn’t see a reason to be
But I have you to show me the way
And so I simply have to say
Beloved one you are the star’s light
And you bring to me hope’s delight

Beloved friend you are my hope of true
Every day is blessed because I have you

I wrote a long poem for you and then I lost it, don't know the words anymore, damn, I'm getting old and I don't have Balladeer's photographic memory.

Well all I wanted to say is that, though I wasn't always there in your dark days, you never left my mind sweet gal, but I guess you knew that.
