The Symbolic Rose

I give you this single rose of red
to show that my love is true.
The coral rose
to convey the deep desire
I have for you
held within my heart.
The lavender rose
symbolizing that at first sight
my love was captured
until the end of time.
The pink rose
sending the message
telling all that you meet
of
your gracefulness
and
your joy of life.
The yellow rose
expressing the joy
I have found in your
loyal friendship
and
to show that I care.
The rose the color of peach
telling of your
gentility and elegance.
For you are a rose
of
sweet thoughts and love.
Lastly I give to you
the white rose.
This white captures your
innocence and charm
and
I hope one day
you will be mine.
My lovely exquisite

I have penned once or twice about the rose in this and another poetic life, you have done the rose proud. Nicely written.

A voice of honesty
   is treasured
more than voices
   of flattery
