We have for days now Been climbing these mountains And the colder nights have made us trade The soft cotton for wool. At the beginning you enjoyed the respite From our desert heat but I see now You shiver and frown deeper lines Into your forehead with each day. I have insisted you wear one of my own robes Over your and while it has warmed you a bit I have seen the suffer in your face. Last night you talked to me about melons And how you wanted to enjoy them in the heat And that wearing so many clothes as this Suited you not in our tented bed For you could not sleep in feel Of my heart beat and my hands could not Lay on your back without the layers of cloth between And you needed to feel our skin touch to tell you We were alive and real. It was You said As if I was not My love We will this day cross the pass And begin to descend to the warmer air we both love. There we will again pitch our tent of silk And lie inside, listening to the rustle of it In the evening wind while feasting on the delights Of our love. There will be plates of melon for you That I will cut into chunks So that I might touch them to your lips And feed you the sweetness of life While I taste the nectar of you. We will spend a few days in rest And re-introduce our flesh to the sun And to each others… Steady on my heart And take my hand We are almost There. |

During these moments with your words, I escape this world and fall into the one you create. Not wanting to exit my escape, I read over and over again the words as I await...await your next pen. Sorry, Ron, choking back a few tears here. Patricia |

For you could not sleep in feel Of my heart beat and my hands could not Lay on your back without the layers of cloth between And you needed to feel our skin touch to tell you We were alive and real. It was You said As if I was not These lines are for absorbing again and again. *S* You do write love so well, Cap'n... this is even more poignant since I read out of sequence and know the ending. *S* |

you devil you! how did you know I was dreaming of silk and honeydew last night during a fierce thunderstorm? and I'm allergic to wool, anyway |

Golly, Ron, you just get better and better, and these vignettes of yours simply shine. ~~(¸¸¸¸ºº> ~~(¸¸¸¸ºº> ~~(¸¸ ¸¸ºº> ~~~(¸¸ER¸¸ºº> |
