The sun is setting… It seems that my heart Is setting as well. The sky is darkening… My path seemed to be clear, Until I tripped and fell. Midnight has arrived… Can I find any peace? Look! There is the starlight! The moon is shining! Could there be rest from harm, Found in the dark of night? The never-ending night… Like a watchman I wait, For a glimpse of the dawn. Dark struggles for control, Putting forth all its strength, And the dew rests on the lawn… Look out towards the East! Is that a ray of light, Come to conquer the night? Lo! The sun shows her face! The darkness is all gone, Vanquished by the dawn! |

Always amazing what a new day will bring... how quickly emotions can be turned on a dime... or a rhyme... or a quiet remark that seems to stop time... always amazing what a new day will bring... |

Beautiful. Dawn welcomes you at the end of the nightly struggles. A theme I love much. Love, Margherita |

Look out towards the East! Is that a ray of light, Come to conquer the night? Lo! The sun shows her face! The darkness is all gone, Vanquished by the dawn! Yes, a new day does bring some light to the dark. A very good poem, Poet, Sir. Hugs Ethel |
