~*~ When you gaze in to a mirror, Do you see who's gazing back? Do you see the beauty there, Or do you search for any lack? When you look in to a mirror, Do you see the soul within? Do you see your shining Light, Or just the stain of some past sin? When you gaze in to a mirror, Do you recognize a friend? Someone who'll be with you, From your birth until the end? When I look in to my mirror, I'm pleased with whom I see, A woman doing her very best And I'm glad that woman's me! ~*~ |

Linda, superb. I am going to try to remember this poem...I gaze in my mirror every day, and too often I don't see a smile or happiness... Thanx my friend for this one. It hits home really hard. |

In some lives, a mirror cracks Seems to reflect only lacks Footsore steps then often falter Covered eyes can't seem to alter Past errors taking control We walk, we talk... we are not whole. But then comes a final night When darkness yields at last to light Self-acceptance finds inception And our gaze holds new perception. I love the strength you share in this write, EA... I think only someone who's seen the shadows and pushed them aside could write this... it's beautiful. *S* |
