It is a simple truth;
all things and people
one day meet
their own and separate ends;
so in this sad dark hour,
stand with me
to greet the reaper,
and raise a glass
to absent friends.

I'll drink to that.

I am in motion
I am blue
Love is an ocean
I'm anchored in you

I'll drink to that. He was one of my all time favorites, a man of great moral stature.

To have lived a full life...
to have graced us all with elegance
and class...

to die, peacefully...

what more could a man ask, but that, from God.

He was blessed.
And in his wake, leaves a ripple of respect
for a life well done.

a masterful pen, perhaps not as cold as your nom-de-plum would have us believe?

and lest we forget Mr. Brinkley -- they always come in threes... wonder who is next.

Just to think I did not want to see the passing of this much admired actor and person of strong moral fiber...last week admired his role in the original Cape Fear...
thanks for your dedicated poem.

Raising my glass with you to Gregory Peck ... whom I really cherished .... when I was a young girl I dreamed of him as being my father! (Orphan of my own father I had a step father who was very very old and distant so I dreamed of wonderful Mr. Peck ..., while others at my age dreamed of a first love).
Bye Mr. Peck .... pay a visit to the city that made you famous with "Vacanze Romane" with delightful Audrey Hepburn....
Thank you icebox!
Love, Margherita
