The Crush

I still remember the very first time,
I ever laid my eyes on you.
I was sitting in class, wishing the hour would pass,
when through the door you flew.

The color and shape of your beautiful eyes,
took my breath away.
Your innocent and sparkling smile,
stole my heart that day.

Dare I utter a few simple words,
to express the way I feel.
Or should I remain sitting in silence,
fearing what the truth might reveal.

But what is that truth,
is it simply your beauty that I see.
Or is there more to this feeling,
stirring deep inside of me.

You come closer, I raise my head thinking
"Man this girl is fine."
As if mesmerized, lost in time,
I say please take this desk next to mine.

Those beautiful eyes are my one true weakness,
what's a man to do.
For now I remain sitting in silence,
quietly thinking of you.
