This one was written about a month and a half ago. The spring is upon us. The trees are once again becoming green. The flowers are begining to bloom. And life is returning to our world. Yet clouds draw near. My love is confused; her mind clouded, Clouded by thoughts of her past. She has changed since her return. She responds differently When I compliment her beauty. She tells me she loves me a little less often. She has much on her mind. Though I am confident that she will choose me in the end, I am unsure given these clounds Which appear in her mind. I have endured much since I fell for her Almost four months ago. My heart has been battered and bruised. And once it is healed, it is battered again. I know not how it will turn out in the end. Just as the road curves under the horizon, So is our destiny hidden from me. For the first time in my life, there are mulitple possible outcomes of my situation each with a chance of survival. For the first time in my life, I am truly scared For I do not know which one will triumph. So I pray to the fates to guide her. I pray that our love blossom again Just as the flowers bloom once more. I pray that as life flows back into this world, So may the love and the passion Flow back into our courtship. May the enlightening force known to our species Bring her clarity rightly and swiftly. The poem is very personal, references to exact time mean that it is (presumably) a relationship of yours, but its not over personal in a way that it excludes the reader which I like, a lot of romantic poets wrote in the same personal way and it can be very effective |

So I pray to the fates to guide her. I pray that our love blossom again Just as the flowers bloom once more. I pray that as life flows back into this world, So may the love and the passion Flow back into our courtship. May the enlightening force known to our species Bring her clarity rightly and swiftly. The ache is felt in this one. I truly hope that your love returs your love the way you want her to. Hugs Ethel |

The yearning and burning is almost palpable! Love can be scary because we feel so vulnerable, but I do believe that if it is meant to be, it will be! Warm hugs, EA |
