The night is long with premonitions, windows fill with sleeplessness as neon lights form eyes and ears that scream with warning, dreams are warmed milk with a spike of arsenic, raindrops pound and run off leaky rooftops as my veins run deep with worry, i sift thru pages of milestones, longing to be washed in a sea of moonlight, calmed with lullabies once sung on rocking chairs, for my newborn babygirl [This message has been edited by inkedgoddess (07-09-2003 06:24 AM).] |

Beautiful peace of writing Mish, felt the tension if only more mothers cared as much. Not an easy job but you excel [This message has been edited by Aenimal (07-08-2003 08:50 PM).] |

I'd like to say this was sweet, but it scared me. I like it, of corse. After all, YOU wrote it, didn't you? I said I'm going to buy a gun and start a war, |

i sift thru pages of milestones, longing to be washed in a sea of moonlight, calmed with lullabies once sung on rocking chairs, for my newborn babygirl Michele, when we get so worried about them, your last part of your poem is so much easier, isn't it? ![]() Hugs ![]() Ethel |

You hold the watch of all mothers...listening at the window. Even when they are grown and gone, it eases, but is the same. ![]() |

Nobody ever said mothering is easy, being a daddy is just as tough. I sense your little babushka is giving you fits. Hopefully she will see the light and do a little growing in the right direction. |
