Arson’s Touch

there once was aglow
in a blazing fire
but it turned cold
in powered ash
biting wounds stung
in its dying burn
where one fall
became another in crash
it is getting too easy
to get lost
and it has become
such a crutch
how my life and I
don’t see eye to eye
where what I need
is way too much
hurt gives way
sliding into nothingness
realizing I invited myself
somewhere so wrong
and how much courage
does it take to feel
when you are where
you don’t belong

Especially liked the last few lines.
Makes me think a little.
worthy of a second read.
Good stuff.

the feel comes naturally
its the courage to overcome
the pain of the feel
which I relate to having
the foundation of a large
house set upon my chest
daily

God I know this awful feeling
like an itch you just cannot scratch

In my head tonight Helen

like the title too
like what a fire has done to a house
it has done to you
kind of like burned to the ground
rebuild in order . . .

OK I cant stay away from this write:
the inviting of yourself
oooohh . . .  I know
Ok I'm leaving now
xxoo

Exquisite.  These are feelings I have felt when I have fallen in love.  So many times it has happened and so many times the familiar feeling of loss and not belonging in this feeling has been my story.  Regardless of how and what you felt while writing this, it has spoken to me in a way that can only be described as love gone wrong in the heart.  Touching.  Deep.  Emotional.  Simply stated, I loved it.

Helen, I can really feel the hurt in this one.
I just don't know what to say.
Here is a heart hug, and I really mean it, too....
