Casting about for perfection and an egg salad sandwich

“Perfect poetry” posed The Worm
“Says a single thing”
“Concisely”

Dogboys’ reply came running from the kitchen
sliding to a stop squarely
in front of The Worm
“No, No, No”
“Perfect poetry says it all”
“At once”
Then, as replies are unaccustomed
to independent actions
it shifted from foot to foot
unsure
what to do next

(Iggy lowered his racing form and uttered
in accordance with both view points
the perfect poem)

(“Hoof Hearted?”)
