Unuttered Lying here in your bed in semi-conscious state barely listening while your dull chatter and idiosyncratic garble gnaws at my brain, like a dull blade, splintering chunks of cerebral cortex. I wish you would close your eyes, at least your mouth, for your mind is already closed, has been for some time. Instead, you regurgitate nonsensical concepts, a collection of one-line treasures... self-help philosophies for seemingly pathetic souls like me. I admit I was once intrigued by your notions, potions, your panacea for my life’s woes. But this night, what seems an eternity I see you for what you are... Thoughtless, mindless, an imbecile who follows a regiment set from youth.. A boy scout motto as such as much Certainly admirable, but just how realistic, my man? Did I say “my” man? Forgive me, Your Highness. For your heart, your soul could belong to no one... Yes, you are your own man For whatever that is worth. So, tell me, what I am to do? What I always do... Stare vacantly into glazed eyes, pretending...fantasizing that I am somewhere... anywhere but here. |

well..I see this one comes from someplace other than the layered efforts to write..and instead comes fromteh soul..from having been there and done that...or are there..doing that.. it is real.. gritty..and edgy..all hallmarks of good writing in my book. you done good girl... you done very good... |
