the words are locked
blank page rage
at being mocked
by the screaming silence
this cage
this sheet
And dreading a repeat defeat
by this paper
So smugly incomplete

So sink another drink
to think
about how this ink
could form the missing link
the well from which the words could merge
to form a spark
to end this dirge

no joy.
no luck.
the pages mock
and still the block
tick tock
tick tock
