Moved from a shack to a barn

There are many versions of the song "Wind and rain", that is said to have been written by Shakespeare. This would be just another....with apologies.

There were two sisters from county Clare
Oh! The wind and rain
One was dark and the other was fair
Oh, the dreadful wind and rain

They both caught the eye of the millers’ son
Oh! The wind and rain
But, he had a lust for the fairer one
Oh, the dreadful wind and rain

He lured her to the river one day
Oh! The wind and the rain
Lured her to the river and had his way
Oh, the dreadful wind and rain

Then he pushed into the river to drown
Oh! The wind and rain
And watched her as she floated down
Cried, Oh the dreadful wind and rain

She floated downstream to the millers’ pond
Oh! The wind and rain
Dead on the water, like a snow white swan
Oh, the dreadful wind and rain

As she came to rest on the riverside
Oh! The wind and the rain
Her bones were washed by the rolling tide
Oh, the dreadful wind and rain

Along the road came a fiddler fair
Oh! The wind and rain
And he saw her bones just lying there
Cried, oh the dreadful wind and rain

He carved fiddle pegs from her long finger bones
Oh! The wind and the rain
And made a fiddle head from her breast bone
Oh, the dreadful wind and rain

He made a fiddle body from her hip bones
Oh! The wind and rain
And he made a fiddle neck from her thigh bone
Oh, the dreadful wind and rain

He made a fiddle bow from her rib bone
Oh! The wind and the rain
He made a fiddle bow from her rib bone
Oh, the dreadful wind and rain

He strung his fiddle bow with her long yellow hair
Oh! The wind and rain
He strung his fiddle bow with her long yellow hair
Cried, oh, the dreadful wind and rain

But the only tune that the fiddle would play
Was oh, the wind and the rain
And the only tune that the fiddle would play
Was oh, the dreadful wind and rain

Musical, m'yeti...has quite a lilt to it, and? It made me crave a mug o mead--but then that's not so unusual either.

Oh the wind and the rain!

Enjoyed...and a beer does sound tasty too...hmmm.

There y'go, being all perfect and
sensitive again, and I guess it didn't
help, having some Irish music on in
the background...

Wonderful Ed...

do it again...

I may have Irish blood but I'm glad I'm a brunette!

Now you have me regarding the wind and the rain in a whole different way! How "dreadful"!

A gruesome tale but told well.

Warm hugs,
EA

LOL. Why laugh? because I'm part Irish and part blonde...never mind which, and? this really reminds me more of Geoffrey Chaucer than the Shakester. Oh now see what you've done, I'll have to go back and re-read the Miller's Tale, which is nothing like this write, but so what? LOL

Typical morbid irish singing
Of the dead and near being.
