Best friends
Bond between two
We were friends from the start
Even before you won my heart
And friends before you gave your heart to me
Before you and I fell in love
We had a close friendship
Love between two
Best friends

Thank you, Margherite.
I love the way you look inside the poem
right in between the lines...and then the
way that you can explain what you see.
Sometimes I can see between the lines of the
poetry that I read, but then can't describe
what I see. That is another gift that you have, friend.
You are probably a very good listener.
Hugs,
Ethel

Ethel,
Chris and Karilea are absolutely right. I love it. Nothing is better than falling in love with your best friend. Nancy and I were friends first and then fell madly in love. Perfect and so well done. Bless you. Another A+.

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

(smiles) Awwwwwwww, all your beautiful poems bring happy tears to my eyes as you are one of the best friends I've ever had, even when we have never met, as I feel your friendship and smiles through these pages! (kiss on cheek) God Bless You, sweet friend, yay, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Ethel, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Now who might you be referring to? Let me guess. Does his name start with a "G"?!? tehe

This poem in beautiful in content and form. Lovely, Ethel. Simply lovely---and I believe the same as you do. Friends first--lovers second.

Sending some added love to the two of you!--Not as if you need any more added into your dynamite duet!

Another time that you have matched words and picture so beautifully. A rictameter, does that mean the shape of the poetry?????

Love reading all these great writes.
I write not!

Love has to start with friendship, or it usually ends in trouble...

Good write. I enjoyed this.
