In Memory Of Larry's Ginger Michelle

~*****~
Gold is said to be a treasure
that everyone would like to find
Though gold can buy material possessions
I seek treasures of a different kind

The gold I have searched for
is not found at Fort Knox or in banks
These treasures I have found in people and things
of which I give to God the thanks

Treasured gifts from God above
are families and loved ones too
and friendships lasting for years
are more than just a few

At close of day I see a treasure in
a sunset with colors of orange and gold
Or in an early morning sunrise
such a beauty to behold

Or when a sparkling diamond star
shines in sky of velvet night
To me is like golds treasure
to see the heavenly sight

One of my treasures I cherish most
I believe to be sent from above
And worth much more than silver or gold
is your gift to me of your precious love
~*****~

Larry, from what I understand of your daughter, I feel this is the kind of "gold" she meant when she wrote this title down..........not the gold that can buy material wealth.

Ethel,
Such wonderful insight you have. This is perfect and exactly the kind of write that deserves an A+. I love it and Ginger would have too. Thanks.

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

(big hugggsssssss) Oh Ethel, this got me flooding in tears because from the day larry first joined Passions, I have gotten to know just how special of a person he is and I know Ginger meant the gold of a golden heart when she wrote the topics for the challenge! (wipes tears) Through his heartfelt comments and poetry he is by far one of the most loving people I have ever known and I think no one here can deny how special he is to us all, God Bless You, you too have a golden heart, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Ethel, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Larry, I'm so glad that you liked this. And am
very pleased that you believe Ginger would have.
That's means a lot to me. When I wrote this, it
seemed as though I had help with it. Now,
I've got
to get some tissues.
Heart Hugs to you and your Nancy,
Ethel

Noah,
Nancy Lee,
Thank you both very much for your sweet replies.
As I told Larry, when I started writing this, it
seemed as though I wasn't writing it by myself.
Ginger Michelle must have been a very special
and loving person, just like her parents.

Heart Hugs to you both,
Ethel

Ethel,

You should be inspired more often for this is one of your best.

I like the last two stanzas the most. Much more creativy than from you than I've seen before this.

I think you did a great job with this.

Enjoyed greatly, Hugs, Pat
